How We Got Started

In response to an overwhelming number of request from emerging and professional artists, the Power of Basics consulting team was founded as a division of La Familia, the art of living LLC: a Seattle based company focusing on the promotion and education of emerging artists. Originally designed to help individual artists develop healthy careers, the program quickly gained popularity with established creative companies.  This demand was driven by both the desire to compete in a changing economy and the need for an improved quality of life. Power of Basics consulting is a team of business minds interested in bringing solid corporate strategy to creative companies seeking the competitive edge.  Led by Art Gallery Director/artist, Lanae Rivers-Woods; marketing guru/artist Kate Protage;  and Art Gallery Director/musician, Rebeqa Rivers, Power of Basics is one of the most dynamic, effective, and affordable consulting teams in the Pacific Northwest.
